It is important to weight your portion sizes as the database only recommends average portion sizes which may in some cases be quite small (do not include the weight of food container or plate etc. Also think about your meal, please remember to add all food and drinks consumed e.g. did you have 2 slices of bread and butter with your fish and chips. Add as much detail as you can and take your time. When completing the number of calories you burn choose carefully from the drop down boxes. Typical example would be: sleep 8 hours, sit at work desk 8 hours, gardening 1 hour, exercise 1 hour, relaxing in front of TV 6 hours Total 24 hours.
The amount of calories you burn should not add to more than 24 hours. Complete this daily, weekly and monthly and you now some control of why you lose or gain weight. A tip is to round off the minutes in 15, 30, 45 rather than using single minutes.
